Congressman Patronis Speaks at 50th Annual Governmental Prayer Breakfast in Pensacola

February 3, 2026

PENSACOLA, FL - Congressman Patronis delivers remarks at the 50th Annual Governmental Prayer Breakfast on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola, joining community leaders, elected officials, and residents from across Florida's First Congressional District. The Proclamation was submitted to the Congressional Record yesterday.

This year marked a milestone anniversary for the longstanding event, which for five decades has brought together leaders of all backgrounds to reflect on the role of faith, service, and moral leadership.

“I was honored to be a part of this year’s annual prayer breakfast, a meaningful tradition that reminds us why we serve and who we serve," said Congressman Patronis. “At a time when division dominates headlines, this breakfast stands as a powerful reminder that faith, humility, and unity still matter in public service.”

This year’s God in Government Award was presented to Gulf Breeze Mayor JB Schluter.

This event was hosted by a volunteer committee representing several area churches, the Waterfront Rescue Mission, and Women for Responsible Legislation.
