Congressman Patronis Introduces Bill to Prevent Woke AI in the Federal Government

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Jimmy Patronis introduced House Resolution 4873 to codify President Donald J. Trump’s executive order to prevent woke Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the federal government. Executive Order (EO) 14319, signed on July 23, 2025, recognizes the advantages of AI use in the federal government while mandating agency heads adhere to the Unbiased AI Principles of “Truth-seeking” and “Ideological Neutrality. The bill is co-sponsored by Representatives Mike Collins, Erin Houchin, and Claudia Tenney.

Congressman Jimmy Patronis said, “The President and his team have delivered a smart executive order that instructs federal agencies to only leverage AI tools that speak the truth. Surprising to no one, there are examples-after-examples of AI tools going off the rails because the foundational programming tilts politically Left. If the federal government is going to use and promote these tools, then AI designers either need to align their programs to remove Leftwing biases from their algorithm, or they need to get out of the business of federal contracting. This EO is going to both strengthen American AI technology and to protect taxpayer dollars.” 

President Trump has been dedicated to rooting out the ‘woke mind virus’ from schools and women’s sports. He is once again leading the charge to root out woke ideology from the federal government. This bill will codify the President’s executive order to ensure taxpayer-funded artificial intelligence is not being weaponized to promote progressive ideology like DEI, critical race theory, or transgenderism. The legislation would force AI vendors to focus on delivering accurate and reliable results for taxpayer purposes. 

House Republicans have been delivering on President Trump’s agenda with 31 bills being sent to the President’s desk and 50 executive orders being codified through standalone bills, reconciliation, appropriations, rescissions, and Congressional Review Act resolutions.
