Today, Congressman Jimmy Patronis announced more impacts to law enforcement and military servicemembers throughout Northwest Florida and the country. On day two of the Schumer Shutdown, the Democrats and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer have still refused to work with Congressional Republicans to pass a clean Continuing Resolution (CR) and end the government shutdown. While Congressman Patronis and Republican leadership continue to put America’s Armed Forces and law enforcement first, Democrats are still demanding $1.5 trillion in additional spending that wastes YOUR money to fund healthcare for illegal immigrants, climate initiatives in foreign countries, and radical radio programs.

Today, Congressman Jimmy Patronis held a virtual press conference slamming the Democrats and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer for failing to pass a clean Continuing Resolution (CR) and causing a government shutdown. Congressman Patronis urged Senate Democrats to put aside partisan demands and work in preserving the stability and security our nation deserves.

Today, Congressman Jimmy Patronis introduced a resolution in the U.S. House of Representatives in conjunction with Senator Rick Scott, who filed a similar resolution in the U.S. Senate, to honor the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk. The resolution supports the designation of a “National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk” on Oct. 14 and recognizes Charlie Kirk for his contributions to civic education and public service. Original Co-Sponsors include Representatives Greg Steube, Mark Alford, Anna Paulina Luna, Cory Mills, Gus Bilirakis, Barry Moore, Maria Salazar, Aaron Bean, Mike Collins, Carlos Gimenez, Austin Scott, and Derrick Van Orden.
