Congressman Jimmy Patronis and Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier to Lead Discussion on AI Chatbots and the Fight to Repeal Section 230

June 8, 2026

WASHINGTON, D.C.- On Tuesday, Congressman Jimmy Patronis (R-FL) will host a live telephone town hall with Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier to discuss AI chatbots, Big Tech, and protecting children online. As Congressman Patronis fights to repeal Section 230 in Congress and Attorney General Uthmeier takes action against OpenAI in Florida, both leaders are working at the federal and state levels to keep kids safe, empower parents, and hold Big Tech accountable.

For too long, Big Tech has put profits ahead of families while hiding behind Section 230. Congressman Patronis is working to hold these companies accountable and give parents a voice. The town hall will give constituents across Florida's First Congressional District an opportunity to ask questions, share their experiences, and join the fight to protect our kids online.
